Affordable Logic Analyzer Probe Tester

NEX-PROBETESTER2 allows for quick testing of a variety of Tektronix Logic Analyzer probes using the provided board and a TLA. The probe tester is capable of testing all 32 data channels of a probe along with both of its clock/qualifier (referred herein as CQ) lines. Depending on the probe tested, this requires hooking up one or more probe tips. The test itself drives all data lines low and then proceeds to walk a high up each data channel, starting with the LSB. Both CQ lines are driven high and then low in the center of the valid data window. This allows for synchronous acquisition on either edge of either CQ line. Asynchronous acquisition is also possible. Two testing modes are provided.

Visual Inspection Mode slows data transitions down so that data can be visually verified using the TLA Application Software's Activity Indicator window (preferable if testing only a couple of probes).

Full Speed Mode provides quick verification of data by taking an acquisition (preferable if testing many probes).
