P6860 Right-Angle Adapters

Right angle adapters for Tektronix P6860/P6419 probes.

The adapters should never be bend beyond 90 degrees.

There are applications where the height of the Tektronix P6860/P6419 probe prohibits connection to a target. The NEX-COMPRT-A/B product provides a low profile, right angle connection of the Tektronix P6860/P6419 probe to the target. Depending on the orientation of the pad on the target, it may be necessary to connect the probe from the left or the right side of the pad layout (please refer to the diagram below for reference). For this reason, there are two right angle products available: NEX-COMPRT-A and NEX-COMPRT-B. The customer application should be carefully reviewed so that the proper right angle adapter can be chosen.

NEX-COMPRT-A/B works on target boards ranging from 0.020" - 0.130" thick. Please call for information on how to support target boards that fall outside this range.

Each NEX-COMPRT-A/B product comes with the hardware necessary to connect the right angle adapter to the target. Please refer to the diagram below for more information. Connection of the Tektronix P6860/P6419 probe to the right angle adapter requires one Tektronix Nut Bar that is supplied by Tektronix with the P6860/P6419 probe.

The NEX-COMPRT-A/B is a matched trace length, impedance controlled design.

If your target board's footprint looks like either of the following...

Footprint Orientation
	NEX-COMPRT-A will extend the probe to the right - as in the diagram. NEX-COMPRT-B will extend the probe to the left - as in the diagram.		NEX-COMPRT-A will extend the probe to the left - opposite the diagram. NEX-COMPRT-B will extend the probe to the right - opposite the diagram.
